Description: |
| Staff member needed to work with adolescents in a structured day (classroom setting) program, working one on one with the client or in groups. |
Duties: |
Receives client care assignment from the Program Manager and responds appropriately to each client according to their treatment plan. Will write clinical notes.
Monitors client status, documents and/or reports findings to appropriate staff.
Teaches, demonstrates and monitors ADL’s, personal hygiene, orderliness of environment and client safety.
Serves as client advocate; establishes rapport; is aware of and respects the rights and dignity of all clients.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe physical environment according to established guidelines.
Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner.
Must be able to physically restrain and implement a therapeutic hold in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
Possesses basic knowledge of group dynamics and can effectively facilitate a community, support or task group.
Has completed all required training and demonstrates a proficiency in all areas of the position.
Is given specific area(s) of responsibility as designated by the Program Manager.
Maintains sensitivity to cultural differences with client population.

Qualifications: |
Minimum requirement includes a BA/BS degree in the human services discipline from an accredited college and two years experience in the field post graduation.
Individuals without the minimum qualification cannot be considered due to NC mandated requirements. |
